Chuck Palahniuk: I think he's got Greg in his last name. Toasted.
Today was a very fun day. I hung out with my family for most of it. I love that we've gotten to this point where we can do things together and we all like it and we have a really awesome time. First we went to Pegasus games, then we went to the scrapbook superstore, that was an overwhelming experience. Have you ever had the feeling that you want everything, that's what I had. I eventually narrowed it down to $15 of stuff. Really cool place. Then we went to Uno's and had amazing pizza and salad and hour'devours, not sure how I did on that spelling. The whole time was just very pleasant. Oh, afterwards we went to Barnes and Noble. I'm very excited about that. I got One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Fight Club, The Metamorphosis and Other Stories by Franz Kafka(Charles keeps telling me to read it), and for an early birthday present, Bethany bought me this book by a lady name An Na. Now I read her first book because I thought it was totally cool that her first and last name spell out my whole first name, but the book turned out to be amazing, so now I have her second book. If I ever get through the last 300 pages of Roots it'll be fun to read those. Man, Roots is a beast. It's 688 pages long, which in itself isn't such a bad thing, but it's about six generations of this black family, but the first 300 pages are about just the first generation and that's as far as I am right now. It's actually really fascinating and I'm really glad I'm reading it, but like I said, it's a beast. In conclusion to that paragraph, I really like my family. As my mother said, "We're alright, as long as you're one of us."
Yesterday was also a fun time. My little sister and I went shopping in Johnson Creek. I got a new bag and some shirts and lotion and things of that nature, but I actually got through 3 hours of shopping without crying or yelling or doing some form of freaking out, so I felt really good about that. Then I came home and napped, which is always a good thing, especially after shopping. Then last night Blake, Evan and I went to see Pirates of the Carribean. We got there ten minutes late, I'm not sure why, I mean I know why, but I don't know why Blake and Evan were behind, oh well. It was actually really fun because we were the only people who showed up for that showing, so they started it exclusively for us when we got there. We pretty much had a private showing. Ignore the redundancy of those last two sentences.
So, Sunday is the End of Summer Baritone Bash in Madison. It's going to be quite the event, very exlusive, baritones only. I'm excited. Who knew playing baritone would get you into such classy parties. I think there should be cheese cake. Yummy.
Have a grand evening/day/week everybody. School starts Monday.
Toasted.
